Auction FAQ / Rules


Placing a Bid

  1. Can I retract or cancel my bid?
    • Each bid you place enters you into a binding contract and is active until the end of the auction. If you have the top bid, you are obligated to honour your bid. Once a bid is made it cannot be cancelled or retracted. If the auction winner does not complete the transaction TBR.ca will at its sole discretion will either offer the domain to the second highest bidder or return the domain to auction. Auction winners who do not complete transaction may be banned from tbr.ca and the Ready Network Inc. at our digression. If for any reason you are the auction winner and cannot complete the transaction, make sure you contact us as soon as possible.
  2. Who can join?
    • Any member of tbr.ca may place bids on any auction. If the member did not backorder the domain prior to being acquired, they will be permitted to place a single bid and may not utilize the auto bidding feature.
  3. 1.What is the automatic bid? Is it possible to place a proxy bid?
    • When you enter your maximum bid and select the auto-bid option, TBR.ca will continue to bid for you automatically if you are outbid by another person just like a proxy bid. Bids will increment at the minimum next bid price up to your maximum auto-bid placed. If you unselect the auto-bid option, the bid you entered will become the binding bid. You can change your automatic bid at any time and like any other bid it enters you into a binding contract until the end of the auction. We will let you know by email if you are out bid, so you can place a higher bid. Automatic bidding is convenient if you are not available to attend the auction until the end or would rather not have to re-bid every time someone places a bid.
  4. Do I need to backorder to participate in an auction?
    • Users who do not backorder a domain and wish to participate in the auction will have the opportunity to make one and only one bid. Once submitted it will become the current bid and if out bided he/she will not be able to offer another bid. Backordering the domains you want is highly recommended as it will allow you to place more than one bid in the auction and it was also alert TBR.ca that members are interested in acquiring the domain.

  6. What’s the auction starting bid?
    • The auction starting bid will be determined by the highest backorder placed during the backordering phase. The minimum backorder amount it $10.
  7. What’s the Anti-Sniping process?
    • Anti-Sniping is utilized to give all participants equal opportunity to acquire the domain name. Our process involves resetting the auction clock to 5 minutes whenever a bid is placed in the last 5 minutes of an auction.

Winning Bidder

  1. Final bid will have to be paid in full within 48 hours of auction end unless the bid is equal or higher than $200.00 and the bidder decide to take a payment plan. Down payment will have to be made within 48 hours. Read the payment plan agreement for more information.
  2. Once the domain is fully paid, user will receive an email from Cira to change domain administrative contact information and will be manageable from it’s registrar Ready.ca. Registrar transfer can be done at your own convenience 30 days after its registration.

Auction duration

  1. When is payment due?
    • Invoices are generated after all auctions have concluded; this allows us to combine all your purchases in a single convenient invoice. Invoices are due within 48 hours of the close. If the payment plan option is utilized a down payment of 25% of the final invoice will be due when the original invoice was due. The remaining balance will be due depending on the frequency and terms outlined in the payment plan.
  2. When do I receive the domain?
    • Upon the closing of your invoice, the domains acquired will be transferred to your holdings within 2 business days. If there is a delay in the transfer process, we will do our best to contact the member via email to outline the reason for the delay.

Auction Duration

  1. When will the auctions start and end?
    • TBR domain auction will start 2 hours after the drops from Wednesday 4 pm Eastern Time, end times will vary from Friday 12pm to 5pm.

Currency

  1. All amounts are in Canadian dollars

Trademarked Domains

  1. Buyers are responsible for doing their own research in regard to trademarks or property right of the domain they desire to bid on and acquire

Payment Method

  1. TBR.ca accepts Paypal, Moneybookers, Credit Cards, EMT, Cheques and bank transfers
